With our Baseline we mean how high or low our energy level and how strong our resilience is. How high or low our Baseline is defines if we are able in a situation to keep our cool, keep our eye on the target and direct our energy associated with OE towards our own chosen goals and applying the PowerWood DIY Kit or if the emotions run wild and/or the situation escalates and we loose control and have further negative experiences. This means clearing the runway of all unnecessary stressors or irritations is of real importance to have a high Baseline.
Our well-being is hugely influenced by both our Baseline and our access to what we call the PowerWood DIY kit.
The PowerWood DIY Kit is information, practical tools and strategies to apply during an incident in the moment to prevent escalation, calm yourself and others and help strengthening the Baseline.
At PowerWood Camp we enjoy the company of understanding families in a supportive environment. There are fun activities to join in with, or you can go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, or enjoy a chat in the coffee/tea tent. My daughters enjoy meeting and playing outdoors with the other children, pony rides, campfires and craft activities. PowerWood camp gives space for the grown ups to relax, as the children do as well. Simone’s (PowerWoods’ founder) workshops are inspiring, empowering and validating. I found it eye opening to learn about OE and other theories that Simone is working with. I discovered a new way to understand and interact with behaviours in myself and my children that are efficient and peaceful. PowerWood is a great community where everybody can be who they are and learn and have fun together.
